So since Obama has been president there has been a lot of talk about the right to own guns and to carry guns being banned. I know that there are a lot of people on boths sides of this debate. So this is what I have to say.
The bad guys and criminals are the ones going around with illegal guns commiting crimes and killing people, not the good guys! The good guys take test and get background checks in order to carry guns! The problem is, is that if more public places let people carry their guns in – then if there was some sort of violence it could be stopped by someone who is allowed to have a gun! Such as robberies and random shootings and things!
And for another thing, dont you think it would be a good thing for people to be allowed to have guns in there homes and things. I mean do you realize that if for some reason our country were invaded that the american people could have a chance at defending ourselves?
Taking peoples guns and making it illegal isnt going to stop the crimes – murder has been a crime for centuries and it hasnt stopped people yet!

Man, things are getting harder and harder, scarier and scarier. I still can’t figure out how the government can’t see that throwing money at all the corps and banks is not going to do the trick. We need to just start all over. Ugh.
Parts from Article Below:
“NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The U.S. economy continued to hemorrhage jobs in February, bringing total job losses over the last six months to more than 3.3 million, and taking the unemployment rate to its highest level in 25 years.”
“Most workers who have jobs today are not old enough to have worked in a labor market this bad, while 13% of workers weren’t even alive the last time unemployment was at this level.”
“The U.S. economy has now lost 4.4 million jobs since the start of 2008. To put that in perspective, that’s about equal to the total number of jobs in each of the following states — Georgia, Michigan and North Carolina — at the end of 2007.”
“Gilliam said he expects the unemployment rate to rise to 9% within the next few months.”

Hey everyone, as you know, I wasnt sure I was going to be voting this year because I wasnt very fond of any of the canidates since Huckabee dropped out of the running.
Well I am happy to say that i have decided on a canidate to vote for. John McCain and Sara Palin are my vote.
I saw Sara Palin give her VP nomination speech, and for the first time since Huckabee dropped out I had hope for this election and a good feeling that things may be able to turn around for us. I strongly believe that she is exactly what we need and will make a major contribution to changing the way things are – for the better. I think the work she has done in her short career is amazing!
And after seeing her speech I decided I should learn more about this man who chose such a wonderful person to be his running mate.
I have watched several speeches from him lately and I have to say, I didnt give him enough credit. I dont agree with everything he stands for but you cant 100 % agree with everything. I do think that he wants to make this a better place and will do what it takes to get the job done. I think that he will make this a stong united and independent country and will avoid war until we have to. As a POW himself I cant imagine that he wants people to go thru what he did, same with Sara who ACTUALLY has a son over in Iraq, unlike many of our congress today that has never been enlisted in our own military or has no children enlisted.
I also think that maybe John McCain is a shy pulic speaker and there is nothing wrong with that. After watching him give speeches to a huge arena full of people and then a little room full of people, you can definitaly see that he is more relaxed and personable in front of a smaller room.
I have never liked Obama for many reasons, I wont go into those reasons unless you ask, then I will gladly tell you. I will say that he gives me a bad feeling and i feel we would be in big trouble if he was president. To me he is like a Wolf in Sheep Skin trying to get in with the herd.

If you still havent decided on who you like as a nominee to be president, I urge you to please check out Mike Huckabee. He has not gotten as much publicity as McCain or Obama or Clinton. But he definitaly deserves it! You can check out his information and plans on his website www.mikehuckabee.com
I had the pleasure of going to see him speak when he came to Wichita Kansas. He was very personable as well. I believe that he is the right man for the job. I am going to list a couple things that I really like about him.
1. Supports the $3 billion the Senate has voted for border security. This money will train and deploy 23,000 more agents, add four drone planes, build 700 miles of fence and 300 miles of vehicle barriers, and put up 105 radar and camera towers. This money will turn “catch and release” into “catch and detain” of those entering illegally, and crack down on those who overstay their visas.
2. VETERANS: The right to a mandatory rather than a discretionary mechanism for funding veterans’ health care, to eliminate year-to-year uncertainty that the funds they need will be there for them. The right of disabled veterans to receive both their military retirement and VA compensation. The right of wounded Reserve troops to be treated like their active duty counterparts until their claims have been processed.
3. As Governor of Arkansas, I cut taxes and fees almost 100 times, saving the taxpayers almost $380 million. I left a surplus of nearly $850 million, which I urged should go back to th e people. Our massive deficit is not due to Americans’ being under-taxed, but to the government’s over-spending.
IRS: I’d like you to join me at the best “Going Out of Business” sale I can imagine – one held by the Internal Revenue Service.
4. The first thing I will do as President is send Congress my comprehensive plan for energy independence. We will achieve energy independence by the end of my second term.
Achieving energy independence is vital to achieving success both in the war on terror and in globalization. Energy independence will help guarantee both our safety and our prosperity. We have to explore, we have to conserve, and we have to pursue all avenues of alternative energy: nuclear, wind, solar, hydrogen, clean coal, biodiesel, and biomass.
5. We must be able to feed ourselves as part of our national security. We must help our farmers lead the way to energy independence.
6. The Second Amendment is primarily about tyranny and self-defense, not hunting. The Founding Fathers wanted us to be
able to defend ourselves from our own government, if need be, and from all threats to our lives and property. Second Amendment rights belong to individuals, not cities or states. I oppose gun control based on geography.
