I know that in this tough economy many people are trying to save money and cut out petty expenses. But lets face it we still allow ourselves enough money each week to cut loose or indulge in something. So I am going to ask you this: Can you put aside that money for 1 week and give it to something noble, something good, something that your not going to get a thing out of except knowing that you have helped someone even by giving them hope. Maybe you even put aside money from just 1 pack of cigarrettes, or a movie on the weekend, or a starbucks coffee or mcdonalds meal. That $5-15 would still be helping people!
Cancer is becoming one of the worlds biggest killers. It’s taken thousands of lives everyday and thousands more are being diagnosed everyday. Basically in every family at least 1 person has been diagnosed or died from 1 type of cancer. Lets try and find a cure!
Approximately 1500 people die each day in the United States due to cancer. About 3,400 people are diagnosed with cancer each day in the U.S.
Man, things are getting harder and harder, scarier and scarier. I still can’t figure out how the government can’t see that throwing money at all the corps and banks is not going to do the trick. We need to just start all over. Ugh.
Parts from Article Below:
“NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The U.S. economy continued to hemorrhage jobs in February, bringing total job losses over the last six months to more than 3.3 million, and taking the unemployment rate to its highest level in 25 years.”
“Most workers who have jobs today are not old enough to have worked in a labor market this bad, while 13% of workers weren’t even alive the last time unemployment was at this level.”
“The U.S. economy has now lost 4.4 million jobs since the start of 2008. To put that in perspective, that’s about equal to the total number of jobs in each of the following states — Georgia, Michigan and North Carolina — at the end of 2007.”
“Gilliam said he expects the unemployment rate to rise to 9% within the next few months.”
I have had my braces on for almkost 9 years. Yes I know that’s an incredibly long time! I got them on and was only supposed to have them on like 2 1/2 years max, but I moved from Texas back to Kansas towards the end of my orthodontic treatment. And then because I wasn’t living with my family, had no insurance and no one in myu family that could afford orthodontic treatment I have really not had them worked on much more since. Every 6 months or so I might be able to talk a orthodontists into letting me pay to fix something. But the really sucky thing is, one I can’t get insurance, two no one will just finish my treatment they all want to start it over and at full price, and three they all want it paid befoire they will start. And its like $3000! Well I don’t mind having my braces, they are practically a part of who I am now. But my teeth are moving and I am seriously hurting and im probably going to have to take some off myself! So this month I am going to have to work extra hard so I can come up with the moiney to get an orthodontists! Ugh!
