Long Day

So I told you in my last blog that I would be getting my little brother the next day (yesterday). I did, it was a long day in the car, 3 hours there and 3 hours back. So I was pretty tired last nite. Then I had 5 of his friends at my house last nite, I watched a movie with them and then spent the next hour trying to get them all settled in for bed. LOL. So yea, I didnt end up getting to go to bed til 2:30. It’s a lot of fun having him with me, but I often forget that he’s a growing boy and getting to be that age (haha, every age is that age). I remember the pressures of being his age, wanting to fit in and be cool, but I never remember really caring about it. i just wanted to be myself for the most part. I was lucky I guess. It’s a bigger deal for him and I wish I could help him see that he’s fine just the way he is, he doesn’t have to listen to that stupid screaming rock shit and dye his hair black…. unless he truly likes it himself….I’m sure one day he’ll see (I hope). But while he’s here with me I just want to show him, but without being pushy, that always backfires. I am excited about our trip to Colordo on Fri. It’ll be a nice get away. We’ll see some family, the mountains which we’ve never been to. Aw. I can’t wait. I feel like i’m so old getting all worried bout this, I just can’t help it, I want the best for him.
Well that’s enough mellow drama. I guess I dont have much interesting to say today. I’ll post tomorrow with more exciting stuff!
